Shipping Policy

Dress After Hours offers NZ-wide delivery for all rentals. Our shipping process is designed to ensure your garment arrives ready for after hours, with enough time before your event.

Dispatch & Delivery Timeframes

Postal rentals are typically dispatched 2–5 business days prior to your selected event date using NZ Post overnight courier services where available.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on location and courier performance.

Rural or remote addresses may require an additional 1–2 business days for delivery.

If you require your garment earlier than your event date (for travel or scheduling reasons), please contact us prior to booking to discuss available options.

Courier Responsibility

Once an order has been dispatched, responsibility for delivery timing transfers to the courier provider.

Dress After Hours is not liable for delays caused by courier services, weather events, or circumstances outside of our control.

Postal rentals are booked at the customer’s discretion, and customers acknowledge the inherent risks associated with courier delivery.

Delayed Deliveries

If a garment does not arrive in time due to a verified courier delay:

  • Store credit may be offered at the discretion of Dress After Hours.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable where services have already been provided.
  • The garment must be returned within two business days of delivery to be eligible for any consideration.

Bookings placed later in the week may carry increased delivery risk and may not qualify for store credit where insufficient delivery time exists.

Dress After Hours is not responsible for courier network delays once an order has been dispatched.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipping details and selected delivery options are correct at the time of booking.

Dress After Hours is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect addresses or delivery selections provided at checkout.

If you will not be present at your delivery address prior to your event, you must notify us before dispatch. Failure to disclose this may void eligibility for credits or refunds.

Returns & Postage Instructions

All postal rentals include return instructions.

Garments must be returned:

  • Over the counter at an NZ Post location
  • Before courier collection cut-off on the next business day following your event

Drop boxes must not be used, as delayed scanning may result in late return fees.

If return packaging is lost or damaged, you must contact us immediately. Additional postage costs may apply.

Late Returns

Timely returns are essential as garments are reserved for future bookings.

Late returns may incur a daily late fee of $30 per day, which may be charged automatically to the original payment method.

Where a late return results in another customer missing their booking, additional charges may apply.

If a garment is not returned within an extended timeframe, it may be deemed lost and replacement charges may be processed in accordance with our Rental Agreement.

Limitation of Liability

Dress After Hours is not responsible for missed events, indirect losses, or circumstances outside of our control once a parcel has been dispatched.
