Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By placing a booking with Dress After Hours (“DAH”), you agree to the following Rental Agreement, Terms of Service, and all related policies referenced on our website.

These terms apply to all rentals, purchases, and interactions with Dress After Hours.

Dress After Hours reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. It is the renter’s responsibility to review the current version prior to booking.

All garments remain the legal property of Dress After Hours at all times.


2. Booking Confirmation

Rentals are confirmed only once full payment has been successfully processed.

Dress After Hours does not offer unpaid holds or reservations.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.

 

3. Payment Authorisation

By completing your booking, you authorise Dress After Hours to securely retain your payment method for the purpose of processing any additional charges associated with your rental.

These charges may include, but are not limited to:

  • Late return fees
  • Cleaning or repair costs
  • Replacement charges
  • Outstanding balances

Where applicable, charges may be processed using the original payment method without additional approval. Customers will be notified prior to any charges being applied.

Afterpay payments
If you choose to pay using Afterpay, all Dress After Hours rental terms, return deadlines, and damage policies still apply. Payment method does not affect your responsibility for late returns, damage, or loss of garments.

 

4. Rental Period & Returns

Your rental period and return date will be outlined at checkout and within your confirmation email.

Garments must be returned according to the instructions provided with your order.

Failure to return your rental on time may result in late fees and additional charges.

Courier Delays

While every effort is made to ensure timely delivery, Dress After Hours cannot guarantee courier delivery times. Once a parcel has been dispatched, delivery timing is the responsibility of the courier provider.

 

5. Garment Care & Responsibility

Cleaning is included with all Dress After Hours rentals.

Renters must not:

  • Attempt to wash or dry clean garments themselves
  • Alter or modify garments
  • Expose garments to environments that may cause avoidable damage

Normal signs of wear are expected; however, stains, burns, tears, or permanent damage may incur additional charges.

 

6. Damage, Loss & Replacement

If a garment requires specialist cleaning or repair following your rental, you agree to cover the associated costs.

If a garment is lost, stolen, or deemed irreparable, you agree to pay the full retail replacement value listed on the product page.

Where damage impacts future bookings, Dress After Hours reserves the right to charge associated losses.

All garment assessments are made at the sole discretion of Dress After Hours.

 


 

Damage Protection

Dress After Hours offers optional Damage Protection which may be added at checkout. Damage Protection may assist with minor, accidental incidents subject to the stated limits and exclusions.

Damage Protection does NOT cover loss, irreparable damage, replacement value, late fees, or damage caused through negligence or misuse.
